I Am Link

.
--- The Lady Eva - I haven't exactly been shy about sharing my current head-over-heels status with regards to Eva Green these days but this piece I just wrote up over at The Film Experience greeting the news that she's probably starring in Tim Burton's next movie, an adaptation of the kid's book Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, is a high-water mark in my praise of her all the same. Seriously though having to wait for the second season of Penny Dreadful is going to break a piece of me.

--- Half Point - Have you been following "The Fifties" over at Nick Davis' site? Those are where he and Joe Reid choose their favorite movie things at the half-year mark. They're still going strong I believe, with everything from Best Ensemble to Best Score under their belt but much more to come, so keep checking it out.

--- Double Stuff - Some interesting real-world news that will hopefully affect some not-real-world storytelling - one of the gangsters who dealt with the real-world thugs the Kray brothers is saying that both of the twins were gay, not just one as had been long reported. Tom Hardy is playing both men in Legend, which we've posted about several times. And apparently Hardy's been in talks with this real-world dude about his real stories. (thanks Mac)

--- Pod Peopled - In the swarm of Comic-Con news I missed the info that Quentin Tarantino was there and besides confirming he's set to make The Hateful Eight next he also gave some other good tidbits - he says that the merged together version of the Kill Bill movies, long called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, will see it's way into theaters next year! But even more exciting to me is word that he's got the germ of an idea for a science-fiction film rolling around in his head - at the same time he mentioned Body Snatchers, so people think it might have to do with that story. Um, yes please.

--- Devil May Care - Also left over from SDCC - I didn't know that the Daredevil show for Netflix was already filming, or that they're saying it will be released come May of next year. That means that somewhere in this world Charlie Cox has already stepped into a spandex costume. I will sleep soundly tonight. Also here are some interesting quotes from the Marvel head dude on what they want to do with Doctor Strange; how they might make him fit into their established universe.

--- Ruled Out - This is clearly the only time you're ever going to get a link from me to anything having to do with Robin Thicke, but my friend Glenn Dunks' take on that creep's "acting" debut in something called Making the Rules is too funny to pass up. Poor Jamie Pressley, she deserves better. We all deserve better. Let's all decide right here right now we will do better okay? Okay.
